Getting Started with Girls Jewelry Boxes from an Early Age

When your daughter is ready to start wearing and taking care of jewelry, a jewelry box just for her is the perfect way to get her started. They also come in stacked compartments and drawers to store more delicate pieces. These will likely have a mirrored lid underside, not unlike an adult’s jewelry box. There are even upright armoires that have small drawers and compartments for rings and earrings and a tall compartment with hooks for necklaces that neither you nor your daughter want tangled up. The drawers and compartments are not always lined with suede or felt but since they usually store plastic jewelry they do not need to be as soft as the compartments in an adult jewelry box. You can certainly find softly lined girls jewelry boxes, however.

Girls jewelry boxes are decorated with young girls in mind, typically in soft white and pink colors or floral designs. Some are designed to look like castles or fairy trees, with the windows and doors leading to the jewelry compartments. These beautiful boxes could be considered works of art in themselves, both in their appearances and intricate designs. They are often music boxes as well, playing a waltz or other gentle tune when the lid is opened. Sometimes a fairy, ballerina or a princess will even pop up to twirl around to the music.

Some girls jewelry boxes have a theme such as fairy tales, princesses, or something else a girl would love, and sometimes even come with a piece of jewelry included to match the theme, marking a perfect starting point for any girls jewelry collection.

Girls jewelry boxes are a great starting point for a girl who’s growing up and learning to take care of jewelry. They will teach her the value of organizing her possessions and keeping her jewelry safe and cared for.
